Do people still read books anymore?6Mr. Me2012-10-25 23:46:03
No offense to anyone who does not read books . I love reading . I read all the time . I read all the time as a kid . I homeschool myself with literature in the library I think . But now , going through the Internet fashion . If I want to study biology , psychology , or history , I read it all online. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Books I could find online .. I just read The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe on the Internet last night while it was raining .. It may not be the same as reading a book , but it was beautiful . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus And now we have ebooks or books can be downloaded directly to your smartphone . I will not lie to you . I have 18 years and I love technology . I'm getting a degree in technology, because that's what I'm best . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus But then , I miss reading books . Only simple stories . But I'm so used to being on the team , I've never touched a book until this week when I read Hamlet . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus What do you think ? I love technology , but it is sad to see this internet fashion seize books and reading . Not many people go to the library MedlinePlus . MedlinePlus My mother is a librarian . Has been for years . But now she change jobs to work on the website , a website that has downloadable ebooks or books . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Only rarely see a difference . Five years ago , I had my head buried in books all the time . I loved to read . Always go to the library . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus But now , I spend and more than 10 hours a day on the Internet , reading. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I do not like change ... MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Which of your thoughts ?
Will people start assuming that I'm the next James Holmes? Please read?0Lorie S.2012-10-26 20:48:00
I just finished my first year of college . People ask me why I'm not involved in any activities or clubs on campus . I like that I have my own thing going on outside of school . I live more than fifty miles away from my university . I work for three people in my area . I love sports , but I prefer to work out at my gym instead of our campus gym . Moreover , imagine . I hate college anyway. You basically only premarital sex, drugs , alcohol , parties , STD , DUI and other things that do not interest me . I'm not really into that type of activity . I like to work hard , so I 'd rather stay in my hometown and do. Since I'm on the dean's list , I still have people tell me I should get involved on campus somehow. If I do not get in school , I'm afraid that people label me as an antisocial psychopath . I know it sounds a little extreme , but that is how our society labels guys like me . The fact that I've never had a girlfriend does not help either . I just tell people I'm asexual , but nobody understands what asexuality . I'm not gay , but I do not want a girlfriend . I was disgusted by women and how they act . Relationships make me sick . That's another issue , though. I'm always around people where I work , but never really " hang out" with others. Just over a year ago, I had a guy tell me that was definitely not normal for my age . He holds a doctorate in psychology , but what does he know , right? lol . I guess you know more than me, though. Your thoughts ?

Keeping college books--beneficial?5mahalakshmi2012-10-13 06:43:03
So, I have reached a point where it has to decide whether or not to keep my books . I originally wanted to keep the books on my elders, especially since I have thought about doing a PhD ( Psychology ) , and possibly a higher degree of criminal justice . Should I keep or sell my books ? I'm good at retaining information , and my only concern is that I will have to take an exam to get into graduate school or something and have to go through my books . Or could I find information online / in libraries ? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Thank you !
Am I too old to start college for Psychology?4mathhy2012-11-05 09:16:03
I have 23 years of age. I am an exotic dancer , do not judge me please ... I'm trying to better myself by going to college . I went to college twice before , the first school of cosmetology , ... I never finished . Then the business school ... Completed a year now I'm transferring to school to major in psychology online . I figured I'll probably be 30 years before you're done with college. It takes 3-4 for a degree and two years in graduate school after that. I always wanted to be a psychologist , but was too scared that never finished school . I feel discouraged because it takes so long and I always give up too soon.I feel I 'm too old to be trying to major in psychology ... I wish I had started right after high school. Am I too old ?
