I've been an insomniac since I have memory , but over time it has gotten worse and worse . I used to be able to get a good night's sleep I ` d say about 6-7 hours of sleep . Well things have really started to change in the last year and now I ` m only getting 2-3 hours of sleep . I have noticed many changes in me , one of the biggest is that I feel numb . I feel like I can `t smile or laugh when things that I used to think were funny are raised in conversation , etc. It's really starting to affect my relationships . I have type II bipolar disorder hypomania and I used to take Abilify for it , recently stopped because I felt like it was making me numb . I've had a lot of problems in relationships because of this feeling especially with my boyfriend because hes always around I feel nothing . All you need to know is that it is due to lack of sleep ? All websites I looked at the following symptoms : depression MedlinePlus heart disease MedlinePlus hypertension MedlinePlus irritability MedlinePlus slower reaction times MedlinePlus difficulty speaking tremors .... Emotional numbness is not on that list .....

Depression? Sleep Apnea? Not enough sleep? Need some advice.?0Mei Lei2012-11-04 08:45:00
Recently I've noticed that I seem to be always tired, which makes it very hard to focus. I discovered this because I need to stay focused at my new job. I get up at the same time everyday, around 8 am, and no matter what kind of sleep I get I seem to feel tired more often then not. It's not every single day I feel this way, just a majority of them. Always feeling tired like this affects my mind as it makes it cloudy and I have problems focusing and remembering simple things even short term things. Recently I've been sweating a lot while sleeping as well even though I always have the air conditioning on. I don't seem to snore though which makes me feel as though it isn't sleep apnea. Feeling this way also makes me very irritable during the day, which I always blamed on feeling tired. Another detail to note is that I'm not obese. I do get between 7-8 hours of sleep everynight and sometimes more on the weekends. What leads me to think it could be depression is that too much sleep can be one of the symptoms which on weekends if I dont force myself to get up I will remain in bed sleeping and feeling tired. Sometimes I do feel depressed it mainly happens at night when Im alone. I try to push these feelings aside and distract myself with tv or a game. These symptoms are found in both depression and sleep apnea. I want to be able to think clearly and not feel tired all the time. What could it be? Is it possible its all in my head?

I have to do my things hidden, they are normal, but the things my mother disapproves. In 2005, I received certification in music production. in 2008, I decided to get a degree in psychology.

Can counselling have a negative effect?4romario2012-10-14 02:52:04
I've been feeling very depressed lately , so I started counseling in my local youth center a few weeks ago . Now , my mother (who has an interest in psychology and years of experience with unstable people ) tells me that since I started , I have become more temperamental and violent . I said that was ridiculous , but she called it " a direct correlation " , and looking back , I see your point . Could it be that my advice is to have a bad effect ?
