Help, I need College Recommendations?7syakir urgent2017-10-20 06:37:33
I would like to major in psychology , specializing in art , focusing on photography. Is that possible ? if what colleges have such programs . if not, it is possible to double major in major thesis? o Are there universities that have programs in art and psychology ? I'm a sophomore in high school , so the guidance department has not spoken to us about college degree yet , but I have to start applying and searching schools next year so I'd like to have an idea about where to go . I'm open to any university in the United States , but preferably in New England , in a school that is at or near a city . Also, if there are no schools that match my preference , then what are good colleges for psychology only .
If I'm looking to go into the BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) of the FBI, any college recommendations?0Tanaje2012-10-26 00:59:34
I'm in my third year of high school. I've always been interested in joining the FBI as well as psychology and the study of why people do what they do . The BAU combines both . I'm very interested in it, and I've been researching for the past few days . I know a degree in criminal justice and criminal psychology are useful . Recommendations of the university to those fields ?

Any psychology book recommendations for a beginner?5homework help please.2017-05-02 00:07:51
I am a high school student fifteen years old and I recently intrigued with psychology after a short drive of Sigmund Freud in my English class . I went to a psychiatric output . Julian Jaynes book entitled The Origin of Consciousness in the breakdown of the bicameral mind . I understand that the majority , however , I often find myself re- reading an article several times to understand it better . I have determined that cognitive psychology interests me more than the others but I 'm afraid I've bitten off more than he can chew with my current book. Does anyone have any recommendations ? Much obliged. MedlinePlus ( PS Although I am new to the subject , I do not consider myself a beginner , because I catch on pretty quickly. So no " Psychology for Dummies " , please . )

Is the value of a college degree decreasing (need opinions from past and presents college students)?0janet!2012-11-05 09:27:56
i recently transferred to my college from a local cc where i was at for a year. i am shocked to say that students at my local cc seem to be more academically focused and driven than kids on my current campus. what im asking is; is the increasing number of students attending college lowering the merit which a typical bachelors degree holds. the reason i am asking this because i am shocked at the type of kids there are at this school. the typical d-bag that wears cargo shorts, nike shoes, and aeropostale. they all seem to major in business or psychology. kids who look like they couldnt spell their names. idk, i guess i am just frustrated from the first few days of school. i guess i am just venting because i hate these stupid over bearing macho frat boy types who DONT deserve to be here. OPINIONS?
Would a computer science degree from a smaller, liberal arts college (Otterbein College) be worth it?1holli2012-10-04 22:44:03
Hello. A couple of years ago I graduated from Otterbein College , a small private college in Columbus , OH with a BS in Psychology . Shortly after I went to college briefly before deciding it was not for me . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I've been thinking about going back to school for computer science BSIN so it could become a software engineer ( programming in graduate school raised my interest in the field ) and would be both easy and relatively fast for me return to my alma mater , but I'm a little worried about a technical degree from a university (quite strong ) liberal arts . Employerss I look down on it ? The school lists alumni working for Battelle , the Department of Defense and other organizations , so it seems fine, but I'm still a little paranoid .

Transfer from Community College to University. College Planning, Majors. Help?0Antoin2012-10-22 21:55:31
I am a 19 year old in my second year at a community college. I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my college planning ... MedlinePlus (My school's counseling office is always incredibly busy). MedlinePlus MedlinePlus After thinking long and hard I decided to double major in Psychology and Economics. MedlinePlus Why? MedlinePlus Well, I feel it would be good to understand how people work and money, haha. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Joking aside, I feel like I have much higher practices. MedlinePlus Obviously not as practical as engineering careers, but I feel like if you get a good knowledge base. MedlinePlus Also, my first objective is to become a pilot. So it does not matter what my grade is. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus If flying does not work for me (very volatile industry) my backup plan is that my teaching credential and teach history / psychology in high school. MedlinePlus Teaching is another passion of mine. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus If, for some reason, the teaching does not sound good then ... I think I might go ahead and get my MBA and trying to get into aviation, gaming or hotel management. MedlinePlus In addition, the medical school is an option. (Anesthesiology) MedlinePlus MedlinePlus As for schools, which will transfer either in the spring or fall (2013). MedlinePlus MedlinePlus My favorite school I'm seeing is the University of Puget Sound. I've heard good things about this school. They have two of my major, and is a private liberal arts school, so I know the class sizes are smaller and more intimate. Not to mention the campus is beautiful, and I hope to move permanently to Washington anyway. I live in San Diego, have lived here all my life. Ready to go! MedlinePlus MedlinePlus The other schools I'm looking at are CU Boulder, University of Washington, Northern Arizona University, and also (last resort) CalStates some of the north. MedlinePlus I really, really ... California really want to stop here as higher education is bad and it will get worse next year. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Anyway ... Thanks for your time, and thanks for your help! :)
