My bachelors was in a different field, but I want to study clinical psychology to get an MA and eventually phd. What are the requirements I can go to a community college to take and complete please. My community college's website doesn't list it (Los Angeles). Would apply somewhere nearby if that makes any difference. Thanks.
Can you still apply to grad school if you don't meet one of the requirements?3Tareena-- check my answer please2012-10-01 04:09:03
I feel very discouraged right now. I graduated from college in 2006 with a degree in psychology and a GPA of 2.69 . I could have done better , but I was dealing with several medical problems during those years . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I started my online application for MSW ( Master of Social Work ) this morning , but then I realized the minimum average of 2.75 is applied. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I have many people in line to give strong letters of recommendation , and my personal statement is very strong too. I volunteer at a senior center , speaks fluent French , and fix computers on the side , so I'm pretty well rounded . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I feel discouraged , however , and I feel I should just give up. If I bother applying, or will the admissions office laugh at me? The GRE is not required, so that no balance the intake process in any way. Please help me , I feel like my body is heavy and numb with this sinking feeling .

I would like to apply to graduate school in experimental psychology, but my undergrad GPA was a 2.6. I'm?0Anais2012-10-21 21:32:14
Fear of being rejected ! MedlinePlus I have two years of experience working as a research assistant in a neuroscience laboratory . I also volunteer at a zoo . Can you still get into graduate school without a 3.0 if I have excellent references from my professors ? I would like to pursue a career in animal behavior , and I do not want that stupid GPA to define my life .

Will going to UCSB rather than UCSD for a psychology major affect me when I apply for grad school?1Popoff 2012-10-23 19:55:03
I have agreed to transfer to schools 'm currently a student at a community college. I visited both schools and I loved the atmosphere at UCSB seemed that people were happier and friendlier. But I also know that UCSB 's reputation is not as big as the UCSD . I am told that the research opportunities for undergraduate students at UCSD are better and improve my chances of being accepted into graduate school . Is this true ?

How is grad school different compared to undergrad?0amy blogs2012-10-14 23:24:32
I'm getting my degree in Psychology and a plan to go to graduate school after my PhD , but do not know much about it . Is it completely different or similar to what I'm doing now? Am I still going to be sitting in a classroom listening to lectures and book study and take exams or is more hands on or what?
