I'm majoring in Psychology and am thinking about minoring in Sociology. Is this a good idea? Career Options?2sanjeevan2012-10-19 08:07:06
I 'm majoring in Psychology and am thinking of minoring in Sociology . Is it a good idea to have sociology as a minor? What would my career options will be as if I did this ? I have really wanted to help people , talk to them , even work in an office and have people see me or work alongside a doctor . I have the intention of getting my PsyD instead of a PhD because I'm more interested in therapy research. That said, a sociology Minor is a good choice ? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Thanks for any help .

Majoring in photography and journalism and minoring in psychology?1Kyle Dye2012-11-02 14:35:02
I love both journalism and photography . I also like psychology . I want to have a stable well paying job after college . I just want to be both a journalist and a photographer who goes around and writes about stories that are happening worldwide . I also take pictures of all sorts of things . From sporting events to wedding and nature. But I also want to advise students in schools. It will be very difficult to do a double major in photography and journalism and also do a specialization in psychology ? I also plan to do gymnastics in college that has a Division 3 teams . I have only 15 now , but I know what I want to do with my life after high school . Do you have any advice on any of this? Does anyone know any school that will have all of this ?

I'm thinking about majoring in psychology and minoring in philosophy. Is it a larger course load or the same?2hannah allen2012-10-27 18:16:02
Would the same workload, since instead of electives would be my philosophy courses ? How does this work ? Next year I graduate with an associates in psychology and wants to go for a bachelor's degree in psychology , but I love philosophy. Would it be a wise combination of philosophy as a minor ? What has a major and a minor take longer to finish compared to only specialized in one thing ? Thank you.

What are the Benefits of enlisting with a Bachelors degree in Psychology?1chamy2017-12-04 05:49:13
I'm about to graduate with my degree in December and would love to go to graduate school and get my doctorate , but unfortunately I 'm already 20,000 in debt and I do not receive financial aid in graduate school that really can not afford afford to add more to the debt. I have never considered military , but as I 'm starting to look at the job market , I am horrified because no job is worth and I'm starting to feel like the last four years of college have not paid off. I am a hard worker and a good student , but I will not lie I am very feminine and delicate . What could I do for the military at this level and would have to go through Boot Camp as a traditional enlisted straight out in high school ? The answers and help will be greatly appreciated.
Majoring in psych and minoring in education?1E, clenched multitudinous -2012-10-25 17:21:03
I'm a sophomore in college right now, and I'm freaking out a bit about life after graduation . Right now I'm in psychology . I really love , and ideally a counselor or psychologist of some sorts. I know this happens , I need a master's degree (at least ) . In practical terms , go directly to graduate school can not happen , only for financial reasons . So I was thinking of minoring in education and teaching for some time after graduation. I think it would be good because I could save some money and get some experience working with children in schools , and to be a counselor or psychologist is something that could be interesting Does this sound like a viable idea ? Has anyone been in this situation before? Thanks for any advice and anything you might have! I'm a little freaked out a little haha
