A decent (true to life) book about brain research? 22017-10-27 08:02:42
A decent (true to life) book about brain research?  I'm a first year recruit in highschool and I need be a psycologist/therapist when I grow up. My school doesn't give you a chance to take brain science and humanism until your senior (possibly junior) year. assignment expert - assignment moz  Fundamentally, what I'm asking is: Does anybody know a decent book about the point, the history, hones, and so forth? Like, a true to life book, possibly a reference book.

Does depression stem from brain anatomy or brain chemistry?1Anew2012-10-26 12:34:03
I'm working on a story about a recent study in which scientists explored why some people who suffer from major depression can not get rid of your symptoms loose , falling into despair without cause and over again . These researchers think they know why . Recently found evidence suggesting that depression is strongly influenced by a basic pattern of genetic inheritance that alters the structure of the makeup of the brain.
Do you think this is true?0issa2012-10-22 00:47:28
a master's degree is sufficient to refer to as a " psychologist " for example If graduating with a master's degree in organizational psychology , I will be known as an organizational psychologist and I have to get a PH D. Since both are " degrees " professioanl MedlinePlus compared to a bachelor's degree in this field is not enough to be called a psychologist
How can i have true self confidence?4Malachi2012-10-12 13:02:09
I have 20 years and have never had a positive view of myself . My parents divorced when I was younger . I recently started counseling . And I feel like I could be helping , but it may be too early to tell. I'm a sophomore in college , in search of a master ( or beyond) of child psychology or counseling psychology . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I'm not trying to be one of those people who feel sorry for themselves. I just want to love myself . I feel that everyone deserves to be truly happy with themselves . I can not understand how !
Does your choice of PhD research restrict your future research options much?0jaelon2012-11-05 17:24:52
Hello everyone I am going to be applying for PhDs this year and have been looking around at what is available. I'm finishing a masters in physics (in the UK) and I have tried to tailor it in the last year so that I have a medical physics/biophysics flavour to it through research projects and reading modules. Generally I've been looking at medical physics/biophysics PhDs, I'm not particularly certain of one specific area I desperately want to study but something roughly within this field is what I was thinking. However, I found a PhD which caught my eye which is in something called "Psychophysics" which appears to be applications of physics to the field of psychology. The PhD is as part of a research group within the department of physics and the group leader says most people in the group come from an experimental physics background. She encouraged me to apply (even though officially she wanted to get going before I graduate, but said for the right candidate she'd wait). It seems interesting and a great inter-university research project, but I'm a little worried that if I were to do a PhD like this it might restrict my research chances later on. Perhaps if I decided I wanted to move back into a more medical physics research area, would this hold me back? I worked in a medical physics group during the summer and most of the people there hadn't done medical physics PhDs- they'd done condensed matter, or atomic physics etc. I also know a lot of people though who always did the same thing- people who've never done research in anything other than say, radio astronomy. Any advice? Do you think I should apply, even if I'm not sure I would do it if it was offered?

Is it true that depression is a symptom of sin?0Bor2012-11-02 00:05:08
Do you know what book this is? Help, please :)?1dormouse2018-02-24 02:14:31
Years ago I read this young adult science fiction novel and have never forgotten the story elements ... but of course , I can not remember the title of the book . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus It was a group of children who wake up in ( or made ) a room without windows or doors . They discover that if they react in certain ways to environmental stimuli (such as light or sound) that will be rewarded with a food substance like gelatin that is dispensed through a tube in space. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus They fight and try to work together and fight some more ... the book is about the psychology and behavior ... eventually the children are released and the narrator, who has resisted more conditional training , said that as soon as the other children see a traffic light change to start acting like they did in the room in response to strange lights get food ... MedlinePlus MedlinePlus It's driving me crazy ... thanks in advance !
