MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Hair style I've always known , but never really looked into it as a career. I would pay my own tuition . The pay is not bad and the hours are flexible. I have a flexible work schedule for my son . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I was also looking into psychology , but do not have the financies pay for a graduate degree and I have a hard time with GRE , GMA , etc. Most online schools are not accrediated and I would not be able to apply for a state license. Tthat is why I'm trying to move in another direction .

I have been taking antidepressants before because of mild depression . I left after my therapist did not like or what medication that made me mentally and sexually . ( I was on the generic Prozac . ) I fear that four years later, I have to go back to a regular therapy regimen , including medication if necessary . ( Honestly , I think it's worse this time , but I always feel worse ? ) Has anyone had any luck in finding a drug that is affecting both sexually? Now I'm in a long term relationship well and would like to avoid these symptoms as much as possible . Thank you very much for your answers , I hope everyone is doing better than before.

Birth control side effects or something else?1Maj2012-10-14 02:44:02
about 4 days I felt a sharp pain on the right side of the head, which lasted only seconds , but it felt like there was water in that area and I felt like I had been emptied by the back of the head and neck . I panicked thinking I was having a blood clot or a stroke or something so I immediately stopped my control brith I had been on for two months . im only 19 , so I know it's rare that happens . I have read that it could be eye strain , sinus problems , or just a simple thing of water in the ear . ( I've felt like there's water in my ear too) During that time , my head was spinning and I felt a little nausia . My parents did not seem too concerned and brushed it off sinus problems / birth control , or just coming down with a cold. So I took a claritin and had side effects that were similar to what we had before, but my heart was pounding and I was having palipitations . I read online that these are the possible side effects . After letting me out of my system I started feeling very well . Last night I now believe that stress accumulated over me and began to mourn from scratch . I feel very tired and my head is as heavy and the neck and shoulders tighten. I've been very anxious and nervous about everything. Im thinking that crying last night was a symptom of depression from the birth control ( or lack of ) . ive decided to continue without birth control and getting back on my antidepressants . I will not have an appointment until after the first to find out what happened with that headache . Does anyone have any ideas to help ease my mind ?

MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I wonder what would be a good job that does not require too much of a detour from where I am right now. Depression and insomnia. Is it side effects from propranolol (for migraine) or something else?2Heidi2012-10-25 09:20:03
(My friend has been posting this question in the forums, but have not had much response so I copied and pasted here for her.) Please only serious answers. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus "I feel this is long, hope it's not too difficult to read. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I am 21 (in the UK) and for the past few months I have had a lot of trouble sleeping. It can be as late (or early) as 7:00 a.m. before I can sleep, some days I have been lucky to get 4 hours. Once I finally often restless sleep and only sleep lightly. I'm also not sure if I'm dreaming or just half asleep but I'm having "dreams" of figures / forms / people standing by the bed or door. (ß feel that bit hard to explain) MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Be insomnia, nightmares and vivid dreams can be a side effect of propranolol, but I've been on it for almost a year and have only had this problem in recent months. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus My friend however suggested it might be depression rather than side effects, but I also know that depression can be a side effect. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I always had a low mood, but has been worse this past month. I looked for other side effects of depression and realized that I had a few good MedlinePlus. MedlinePlus · Bad memory. MedlinePlus · Lack of concentration (you can do the same for long in one) MedlinePlus · Quickly lose interest in what I'm doing or when someone is talking to me, MedlinePlus · I have no desire to socialize or go out and enjoy my hobbies MedlinePlus · I've lost my appetite. I only eat when hungry and I have because I have to. MedlinePlus · My words are sometimes confused when I talk. For example started out as "I bought a box of CATI ...." Instead of "a cookie tin. (It seems to happen more often when I'm about to start my period) MedlinePlus · I have no motivation or energy to things. MedlinePlus · Low self esteem MedlinePlus · I'm always hesitant MedlinePlus MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Some of these symptoms I had or felt like for many years, and searching the Internet suggests that it might be dysthymia. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Propranolol has not escaped my migraines, but has reduced the number and severity thereof. I think I had 5 in a year, but I've had two migraines in a week and a half of each other this month. Will I need a higher dose (I'm on 40 mg twice a day)? Or is that everything I have said to indicate I have to try something else? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I have an appointment with my GP in a few days, but has anyone had a similar experience? Or any idea what's going on? Any help is appreciated. '
Is emotional numbness a side effect of sleep deprevation?1Rodger2012-11-05 00:27:03
I've been an insomniac since I have memory , but over time it has gotten worse and worse . I used to be able to get a good night's sleep I ` d say about 6-7 hours of sleep . Well things have really started to change in the last year and now I ` m only getting 2-3 hours of sleep . I have noticed many changes in me , one of the biggest is that I feel numb . I feel like I can `t smile or laugh when things that I used to think were funny are raised in conversation , etc. It's really starting to affect my relationships . I have type II bipolar disorder hypomania and I used to take Abilify for it , recently stopped because I felt like it was making me numb . I've had a lot of problems in relationships because of this feeling especially with my boyfriend because hes always around I feel nothing . All you need to know is that it is due to lack of sleep ? All websites I looked at the following symptoms : depression MedlinePlus heart disease MedlinePlus hypertension MedlinePlus irritability MedlinePlus slower reaction times MedlinePlus difficulty speaking tremors .... Emotional numbness is not on that list .....
Is there a good combination drug for depression and the other medication's side effects?0christen2012-10-17 01:02:51
I was prescribed 50 mg a day of sertraline (an antidepressant) medication by my doctor as starter for major depressive episodes (I'm going to start going to a therapist over time it will probably change my medication if he / she decides to stay with me at all). I started taking them a few weeks ago, and my doctor told me that all effects build up in my system and start to really help at this point, but the side effects are difficult to work. About a week and a half, I started craving pain, not exactly suicidal, but my body was saying and pushes me to feel any pain at all. To calm the anxieties, to close the rubber bands on their wrists, which usually works, but is becoming less and less effective. MedlinePlus To give you a little glimpse of what was happening, before I was on medication, I lost interest in everything, including taking care of myself. Mood was always very low and the focus was nonexistent. I could not look people in the face, and I was miserable all the time, especially when I thought about what a sh * tty person for feeling this way was when I had an incredible life. Being sick with the idea myself led me to tears almost every hour. Now, my mood has gone up, but usually falls asleep, but my focus and interest are even lower. I still find it hard to motivate myself to do something besides watch TV. Still I'm more just looking to move blurs and thought to pay attention to everything that is happening outside of my head. MedlinePlus I have taken Adderall (not prescribed for me, which I know is not a good idea, so do not need to be told that) when I made my work (I'm a sophomore in high school with a lot of obligations, I signed up), which seems to give me the push to get to work, and helped me really care about things that normally only put aside and try to ignore. I know that's what the product is intended to do, but it really helped me get back on track with a normal life. I can concentrate on things more, and instead of getting frustrated and start to hate me for not understanding something, I'm determined to achieve in any way. I also took him when feelings of depression worsened, but I was afraid of taking Sertraline another, not wanting to run the risk of overdose. MedlinePlus I did some research, and "Strattera" is something that is supposed to help with depression and related behaviors or symptoms of ADHD. I know I've thrown a lot of information to readers, and many of them probably do not need, but not really know what would help you (if you can) give me advice. MedlinePlus I guess my main question in all this is there a drug that acts as an anti-depressant, and instead of just "numb" negative feelings, helps restore interest in life? So I guess a combination of a neuro-stimulant and an antidepressant? Thank you very much for reading this, and any advice would help. Thank you!
