Senior Year Schedule:?0nautia2012-11-06 05:30:47
Planned Senior Year Schedule: AP Lit Physics AP Psychology AP Statistics Pre-Calc AP Microeconomics AP Macroeconomics Engineering Tech II PE (I need one more to graduate) Some of these will be taken online, but how do you think it will work out? I am only taking one AP class this year, and it is my first AP class ever taken, so I think I need more. I think I want to major in accounting.. so should I take out the AP Psychology to take Accounting I (there are 3 years of accounting, but I didn't know about it then)? I will be done with my Languages, because there is no French II, and there is no way I could start another language because it would only be Spanish I or German I, so I wouldn't go in depth. Also, if I take 2 classes online my senior year, do you think I would be able to also put in AP Comp. Sci online (not available in my school)? Would it be too much? I can't take it over the summer before senior year because I already have a course set up for then. Please add any input.[View Answers]

im currently a Junior in high school and approximately 30th in a class of over 200. my freshman year i was top 10 and im not sure what my sophomore year rank was exactly....probably around 20th. anyways since like the beginning of time I've always wanted to get into MIT, like it was literally a life goal. however, recently my grades have been terrible with all the honors and AP classes i am taking. my chemistry honors class is singlehandedly ruining me, so i want to know (since i really cant imagine myself now getting into MIT) what opportunities are still left for me with this transcript. im aiming high. freshman year: 100-English 9 85 150-Geography 97 200-French I 89 306-Linear Algebra 93 353-Biology 92 400-Ninth Grade Seminar P (pass) 721-Comp. Confused about AS/A Level Choices?0El2012-11-06 04:28:01
Hello (: I've recieved my GCSE results and I'm very happy. My results were: A* in English Language A in English Literature, Maths, Irish, Drama, Music &ICT B in Double Award Science &Religion. I'd be interested in a career in Speech Therapy, Clinical Psychology or teaching English and Drama. I had planned on taking Psychology, but that has become unavailable at my school. I know biology would be a good one to take but it was one of my worst marks (53/100). I'd love you to suggest what you think my fourth choice at A Level should be. There's a wide range available at my school. Thanks in advance.[View Answers]

I worked since last feb. as a staff writer in news/ reporter for the Eastern Washington University newspaper, and started this at 16 years old. My boss doesn't know how old I am. I will continue this job next year. I just completed a surgeon job shadow at Sacred Heart Medical Center. There were 50 applicants, 4 were chosen, and I miraculously got in somehow. lol. That was very cool. I was also accepted into the Yale University Junior State program two weeks from now...I am awaiting word from my parents as to whether or not I can go this year. >< Worked as a library intern the summer before last. I am going to write a book this summer. EC's: Cross country sophomore year Ballet Violinist in Orchestra (at University too) Volunteering Job hopefully Junior State of America (well, only for one year :) ) Hope to do a really cool senior project involving my Columbia University physics professor and biology. Staff Writer/reporter for The Easterner Don't have my SAT I results yet. I will retake it in October. I have a bad feeling about it though....): Here comes the bad part...my GPA is only a 3.52 at this point. I will work very hard to raise it. IT'S GOING UP. I'm a perfectionist, but I don't want to set myself up for failure. Please let me know if I can get into a top school, or if I just be realistic and start looking at state colleges. P.S. Jobs involving children and Psychology?0Ramya HELP!2012-11-06 02:15:02
I'm currently enrolled in a Community College and have interests in psychology and working with children/young adults. However, I'm unable to afford more than an Associate's degree at the moment, so are there any decent paying jobs that involve children and psychology that I can get with only an Associate's/limited experience? I've always wanted to work in a children's home or work with troubled kids, but I just can't get a Bachelor's or Masters until I get a decent paying job. I also am interested in human services, social working, and speech pathology if that helps broaden my options. Basically anything involving helping troubled people, I just really want to get my foot in the door and get an entry-level job and work my way up.[View Answers]

What does a school psychologist do?0Tatiyanna2012-11-05 21:02:10
I am thinking about being a school psychologist. I am currently getting my bachelors degree in psychology. I want to deal with adolescents and they have normal work hours. I am wondering what type of work they do on a daily basis. Like do they administer tests, counseling? what separates them from a counselor? also do they deal with disabled kids a lot or do they just test them and set them up on programs?[View Answers]

Help with choosing high school courses?0Chandresh2012-11-05 13:38:41
I need help with choosing my high school courses for junior year. I want to be a pharmacist when I grow up. Next year I am going to take chemistry honors. But here is the problem. I can't decide whether to take physics honors or physiology. I know I will need to know the body really well to be a pharmacist. Some people say I need physics as well as AP physics to be a pharmacist. I was wondering if I need physiology because some of the things learned in physiology will be used in AP Biology, which I'll take senior year. Also one more thing, should I take AP Psychology or AP economics. At my school both count for history credits and I need three years of history to graduate.[View Answers]

I attended a four year school and was in the education department. My last year was fillied with a severe depression and self destruction. So my advisor and myself decided to switch degrees and I graduated with an interdisciplinary studies major (focus in elem. education and minor in psychology). Would I have to redo another bachelor program or could i get a master's in education.[View Answers]

School option- I'm screwed!?0solve this please.2012-11-05 00:59:41
Okay, so I am going to be getting an Associates in psychology based degree at the end of December. So I have to go to a school that has a type 73 certification and a masters in psychology. HUGE problem however, I have no idea how I am going to pay for it. The school I was thinking about costs $17,000 a semester. I have to pay it out of my own pocket. Student loans will not accept me. I've tried five times and they said no because they are looking at my parents credit score. And there's is terrible. I can't even take out $1,000 dollars I TRIED! My brother screwed me up big time he co-signed with my parents and took out $90,000 dollars and now my parents are happy to pay all in full but still it messed them up because he didn't even graduate. I can't do financial aid because my mom makes $135,000 a year and that's too much money even though their bills add up to...$200,000 at the very least a year. So no student loan, no financial aid. What can I do? Should I just choose a different career and do that while going to school or what? I'm so stressed out. :( I'm a good student too like B average.[View Answers]
I'm studying in New Zealand to become a primary school/elementary teacher..?0rush7592012-11-04 22:32:10
I know this question is a long shot and I probably wont find the answer here, but I'm just looking. I'm currently 19 and living in New Zealand. I'm studying to be a primary school teacher. I'm a New Zealand and Australian citizen. I'm wondering what qualifications are needed to be a teacher in the USA? I will have a BA in Education and Psychology and then I will do Post Graduate degree of primary teaching. Would this be enough? It is the highest teaching degree possible to obtain in New Zealand. Are teachers in demand in the USA? And how easy would it be for me to get a visa? Thanks (I am only looking into this, this wont be for another 7-10 years!)[View Answers]

I live in Indiana. I have a Master's degree in clinical psychology and mental health counseling. Would I have to go back to school for very long?[View Answers]
How can you get a grade 12 credit after graduation?0Candice2012-11-04 20:09:32
I'm missing my grade 12 chemistry credit, but have all my other sciences. I graduated in Ontario two years ago and attended university. I was taking film, but I'm now looking at taking psychology with an eye to going to med school and as such, I'd like to get my grade 12 chemistry credit out of the way, since I'm taking a year off of school right now. Does anyone know how I can get this credit by correspondence, as I cannot go back to my old high school since I'm over age 20?[View Answers]

I'm getting my Liberal Arts degree now (where i can transfer to a University) Really looking into either NC State University of UNC Greensboro. But I'm a bit confused. I want to work in a hospital setting with steady hours (M-F, 8-5, something along those lines. I thought about nursing at first but I want to do something with mental health and therapy. I was thinking about getting my bachelors in either Psychology or Social Work, but I wasn't sure which one would be more beneficial or flexible with searching for a job like that. I might even work towards my Master's but I haven't decided yet.[View Answers]

I'm a senior this year...and definitely NOT looking forward to graduation. Not looking forward to working and independence and responsibility. But everyone I know seems to be excited. Anybody like me out there? Oh. And also... Does anybody have recommendations for AP study guides? I am thinking of taking it my senior year next year. The thing is, I would have to take it online since my school doesn't offer it. But I really want to, since it's what I'm going to major in at college. I have read it is an easier ap class, but I have also read it is super hard. Also, I have not taken a previous psychology course. I was just wondering if anyone took this class and basically how they dealt with it and what they thought of it (:[View Answers]
